Selected for early ripening and for short seasons, tend to be smaller nuts but delicious. The Northern Pecan can grow to over 70 feet.

Site Preference:
Northern Pecan thrive in rich soils with moisture (bottom land and near water bodies), but they can tolerate a wider range of conditions. They may start in the understory but best placed where they can fill in to receive full sun.

This young tree will likely need deer protection for early stages, like many tender trees like oaks, even a small deer fence for the first 5 years will keep this tree protected.
